Dacă aș fi...

Când vrei să vorbești despre situații imaginare, ipotetice sau improbabile, folosești Second Conditional. E pentru lucruri care probabil nu se vor întâmpla sau sunt imposibile acum!

Structura Second Conditional

IF + PAST SIMPLE, WOULD + VERB

Exemplu:

"If I had money, I would buy a car."

Dacă aș avea bani (dar nu am!), aș cumpăra o mașină.

IF clause (condiția) = Past Simple (dar sens prezent/viitor!)

Main clause (rezultatul) = Would + infinitiv

💡 De ce Past Simple?

Nu e despre trecut! Past Simple arată că situația e imaginară sau improbabilă. E ca și cum te îndepărtezi de realitate.

First vs Second Conditional

First	IF + present, WILL	Situații REALE, POSIBILE	"If it rains, I will stay home." (Poate să plouă!)
Second	IF + past, WOULD	Situații IMAGINARE, IMPROBABILE	"If I had wings, I would fly." (Nu am aripi - imposibil!)

IF I WERE - Forma Specială

Cu verbul "to be" în Second Conditional, folosești WERE pentru toate persoanele (nu "was")!

✅ "If I were rich, I would travel." (corect, formal)

✅ "If he were here, he would help." (corect, formal)

⚠️ "If I was rich..." (acceptabil informal, dar "were" e mai corect)

💡 În vorbirea informală, mulți folosesc "was", dar "were" e forma corectă gramaticală!

Când folosești Second Conditional

Second Conditional pentru:

Situații imaginare: "If I were a bird, I would fly."
Situații improbabile: "If I won the lottery, I would quit my job."
Sfaturi: "If I were you, I would apologize."
Vise/dorințe: "If I had more time, I would learn Spanish."
Situații contrare realității: "If I lived in Paris, I would visit museums."

În vorbire, folosești des forme scurte:

I'd = I would: "If I had money, I'd buy it."
You'd = You would: "If you tried, you'd succeed."
He'd/She'd = He/She would: "If she knew, she'd tell us."
We'd/They'd = We/They would: "If they came, we'd be happy."

❌ Greșeli comune!

❌ "If I would have money..." (GREȘIT!)

❌ "If I was you..." (informal, mai puțin corect)
