Comparând lucruri și oameni

Când vrei să spui că ceva e mai mare, mai frumos sau cel mai bun, folosești comparativul (bigger, more beautiful) și superlativul (the biggest, the most beautiful).

Comparativul - "Mai... decât"

Adjective scurte (1 silabă): +er

tall → taller, fast → faster, old → older

Adjective lungi (2+ silabe): more + adjectiv

beautiful → more beautiful, expensive → more expensive

Structură:

"This car is faster than that one." – Mașina asta e mai rapidă decât aia.

Superlativul - "Cel mai..."

Adjective scurte: the +est

tall → the tallest, fast → the fastest

Adjective lungi: the most + adjectiv

beautiful → the most beautiful, expensive → the most expensive

Structură:

"This is the fastest car." – Asta e mașina cea mai rapidă.

Egalitate: as + adjectiv + as

"She's as tall as her brother." – Ea e la fel de înaltă ca fratele ei.

Negativ: not as + adjectiv + as

"It's not as expensive as I thought." – Nu e la fel de scump pe cât credeam.

💡 Când folosești fiecare:

• Comparativ: Compari 2 lucruri → "A is bigger than B"

• Superlativ: Cel mai... dintr-un grup → "The biggest of all"

• As...as: Egalitate → "A is as big as B"

Reține:

Adjective scurte (1 silabă) → +er/est. Adjective lungi (2+ silabe) → more/most. Neregulate (good, bad) → învață pe de rost!
