Când vrei să exprimi dorințe, regrete sau situații pe care ți-ar plăcea să fie diferite, folosești WISH și IF ONLY.

WISH + Past Simple - Dorințe despre prezent

I WISH + PAST SIMPLE

Pentru situații prezente pe care vrei să fie diferite:

"I wish I had more money."

Aș vrea să am mai mulți bani (dar nu am).

"I wish I were taller."

Aș vrea să fiu mai înalt (dar nu sunt).

💡 Notă:

Cu "be", folosești WERE pentru toate persoanele (ca la Second Conditional)!

✅ "I wish I were rich." (corect)

⚠️ "I wish I was rich." (acceptabil informal)

WISH + Past Perfect - Regrete despre trecut

I WISH + PAST PERFECT

Pentru regrete despre trecut (lucruri care s-au întâmplat sau nu):

"I wish I had studied harder."

Aș fi vrut să fi învățat mai mult (dar nu am învățat).

"I wish I hadn't said that."

Aș fi vrut să nu fi spus asta (dar am spus).

WISH + Would - Dorințe despre viitor/comportament

I WISH + WOULD

Pentru dorințe despre viitor sau comportamentul altora:

"I wish it would stop raining."

Aș vrea să se oprească ploaia.

"I wish he would call me."

Aș vrea să mă sune.

IF ONLY - Mai dramatic decât WISH

IF ONLY = Dacă numai... (mai emoțional, mai dramatic)
